After a long season, and playoff weekend Swindon defeated Streatham Storm 7-0 in the finals of the WNIHL Division 1 Playoffs. 

It was a fast paced competitive game which showcased the strength of GB Women’s Ice Hockey in 2022 after a couple of years in lockdown. Streatham Netminder Rhiannon Frowde held Swindon back for the majority of the game, but the Swindon offence was too much. In the third the lead was stretched from 4 to 7, leaving no hope for a Storm comeback.

Swindon impressively went undefeated this year. In January, Amazons can boast that they played Swindon to their closest game of the season with a final score of 7-2. This was a EIHA Pride game, where players showed their support for equality within the league.

Solent Amazons would like to congratulate Swindon Topcats on their well deserved win and wish them good luck in their promotion to the Premier League next year.
