I played most of my life on the Isle of Wight. My whole family used to be down the rink, so I was skating and playing hockey just before my third birthday. I did good and played through to U19’s.
The atmosphere changed at our ice rink on the island and it finally shut in 2016, so I stopped playing then.
After Covid I was watching Mighty Ducks Game Changers, and wondered if I could afford to play for Solent.
It was the best decision I ever made. Stepping on the ice again after all that time was such a privilege, I’ll never take it for granted again.
Ever since, I’ve had the best years of my hockey life at Solent, made some amazing friends for life, memories.
To have this incredible hockey family around me, I am so grateful.
