PLAYER SIGNING: 35 Charlie Thisby

Kicking off our re-signings with someone who needs no introduction, Charlie Thisby is back for another season between the pipes. 

Charlie had a standout season last year, posting an incredible .910 save percentage and a 2.92 GAA. Calm under pressure, sharp in against the league’s best, she was a huge part of our success and no doubt one of the league’s top goalies.

Charlie says, “I’m really excited to be signing with Solent Amazons for another season. The push we showed last season really demonstrates what this team is capable of and with some changes at the top of the league, the door is wide open for us to take advantage. I can’t wait to see what this year will bring. Let’s go Amazons!”

She was also our Players’ Player of the Year, voted by her teammates for being the ultimate Amazon, leader and inspiration. Off the ice, Charlie’s just as important to our club, as our Coaching Co-ordinator, she’s been a driving force behind the growth of the club and our wider programme over the past few years.

A key player that has been with us since 2013, and a fan favourite, we’re incredibly lucky to have her another year.
