We’re proud to confirm that Lucy Gates is back for another season in red and black.
Lucy joined the Amazons in 2015 and has been wearing the C since 2019. On the ice, she’s a brilliant playmaker and has relentless fire always being the first to every loose puck.
Off the ice, she’s the heart of this team, always lifting others up, always leading with kindness, passion and purpose.
Last season, she was voted our Team Spirit Award winner, and it’s easy to see why. Her teammates love her, respect her, and follow her lead, not just because of her game, but because of the way she carries herself as a person.
Lucy Says, “Every season is a privilege to sign with Amazon’s, but none more so than this one. The last few seasons has seen us build and consolidate and last year we became our strongest team yet. We have a phenomenal line up of skilful players and I’m proud to stand alongside the inspiring group of players, coaches and managers, that make up this incredible hockey family. Let’s go Amazons! “
