PLAYER SIGNING: Abby Hartley | Defence
We’re beyond excited to announce the return of a familiar face to Solent, Abby Hartley is back for the 2025/26 season!
Abby first laced up her skates at Solent as a junior, before going on to shine in girls’ and women’s hockey with the Bracknell Queen Bees. She quickly established herself as one of the country’s top female prospects, representing the England Girls team and making a name as a fierce defender who was never one to be messed with.
After playing from the age of 8 through to 18, Abby stepped away from the game, taking a ten-year break.
Abby says, “After 10 years away and becoming a mum to a beautiful baby girl, stepping back onto the ice feels like finding a piece of myself again. I’m so proud to be playing for the Amazons and beyond excited for the season ahead!”.
Abby’s experience, tenacity, and natural defensive instincts make her an incredible addition to the squad. We can’t wait to see her back in Solent colours, bringing strength, grit, and leadership to the Amazons blue line.
