Smart, skilful, and can read the ice like a book. We’re so excited to announce that Lauren Denness is returning for her 5th season with the Solent Amazons!

Isle of Wight born, Lauren has become the definition of a team player since joining the Amazons. Setting up some brilliant goals last season and finishing plenty herself. Last year was her best yet, racking up the points, showcasing her ability to find opportunity.

Lauren Says, ” I’m super excited to be back on the ice with the Amazons. We’ve been working hard in training and after last season I’m looking forward to seeing what happens this time around! Let’s go Amazons! “

Before joining the Amazons, Lauren enjoyed a 10-year career in field hockey as well as a career on the football pitch playing for Romsey Town. Her adaptability, fitness, and competitive edge shine through in every sport she plays.

Lauren’s Ice Hockey journey began at age 11 when she lived in Calgary, Canada where she learnt to skate. 

Off the ice, Lauren is just as important to the club as our Sponsorship Secretary, working tirelessly to raise awareness of our packages and bring in the vital support that keeps our Women and Girls on the ice.
