PLAYER SIGNING: Josie Clark-Payet #29 | Forward
A huge new signing to the team, we’re so happy to announce that Josie Clark-Payet is back home with the Amazons for the new season!
A familiar face to many at Solent, Josie has made her mark in our junior Devils system and U19s men’s team with her confident, physical play.
She’s also built an impressive resume in the women’s game, representing Guildford Lightning Elite, and the Queen Bees at Elite, Fire Bees in WNIHL1 and Ice Bees U16 levels.
Josie says, “I’m excited to sign for the amazons this year and play with this amazing group of girls, everyone is supportive and lovely.”
Last season, she wore the ‘A’ as assistant captain of the Ice Bees (U16s) and was one of their leading goal scorers, showing her natural ability to finish under pressure. Josie also had a short stint with the Amazons back in 2022, notching a two goal game against streatham. No doubt, shortly after that she was called up to represent England Girls U15s, and GB girls U16s internationally, an incredible achievement that meant stepping away from club duty early, but a proud moment for everyone at Solent!
Now, she’s returning home, and we couldn’t be more excited to have one of our brightest homegrown talents back in black and red.
Josie brings elite level speed, incredible edge control, silky stickhandling and fast paced team play that make her a threat every time she’s in the lineup.
We can’t wait to see her fly this season. Welcome home, Josie!
