Video Creative (Volunteer)
Solent Women’s Ice Hockey Club, Gosport, South Coast
Are you always filming the best bits, love a good behind-the-scenes moment, and can’t resist making a reel out of it? We’re looking for someone creative, social-savvy, and part of the team to help us level up our social content!
This is a fun and flexible volunteer opportunity to get hands-on experience in sports media. Perfect for someone already involved in the club (player, bench support, or volunteer) who can skate with us and capture the action from the inside.
About the Role
You’ll help us create fun, engaging, and authentic content that captures what it’s really like to be part of Solent Women’s Ice Hockey Club, from epic goals and chaotic warmups to off-ice laughs and post-game vibes.
We want someone with an eye for moments, a good sense of humour, and a love for the game who can get creative and make our videos stand out.
What You’ll Do
Conduct pre- and post-game interviews with players and staff
Film and edit reels from training sessions, game days, and team events
Capture fun behind-the-scenes content that shows off the team’s personality
Help brainstorm and jump on relevant trends or ideas to keep our socials fresh
Skate around during practice or warm-ups to get cool action shots
Work with Chantelle to schedule and share posts on socials

What We’re Looking For
Someone involved in the club (ideally a player)
Creative eye and confident using reel making apps or video software
Enthusiastic, confident, reliable, and up for capturing the silly and the serious
A genuine passion for the club and telling our story!

Sports Club Photographer – Voluntary Position
Are you a passionate photographer looking to build your portfolio and capture the fast-paced world of women’s sport? Join Solent Women’s Ice Hockey Club as our club photographer and help us showcase the energy, personality, and spirit of the South Coast’s only women’s ice hockey team.
About the Role
This is a voluntary position ideal for someone looking to gain experience in sports photography, develop a portfolio, or simply be part of an exciting and welcoming club.
As our photographer, you’ll attend home games, occasional training sessions, and club events to capture both action shots on the ice and behind-the-scenes moments that bring out the personality of our players.
You’ll work with both of our teams:
Solent Amazons – WNIHL competitive squad
Solent Valkyries – our development side
What You’ll Do
Photograph home games and selected training sessions or events
Capture player profiles, team photos, promotional shots and the atmosphere at games.
Provide edited images for use across social media, website, and marketing
Help us tell the story of our club through your lens!

What We’re Looking For
Enthusiasm for sports photography (experience with fast action is a bonus!)
